  • When should I arrive for my first class?
Come to class 10-15 minutes before the scheduled class time. This will give you ample time to get registered and settled in the yoga room. Doors close exactly at the scheduled start time so be early!
  • What do I need to bring for class?
Bring a yoga mat, a large towel for class, and a bottle of water. If you plan to shower at the studio, bring an extra towel for that. Mats and towels can be rented at the studio.
  • What should I wear for class?
Form fitted clothing is best so you can see your form. Cotton-like material is not recommended as you will be sweating quite a bit.
  • Are there different level classes?
There are no levels in Bikram Yoga. Bikram Yoga is a series of 26 postures done in the same sequence every time. Every class on our schedule is the same 26-posture sequence and is beginner-friendly. Start from where you are and you'll pick up a little more every time you come to class.
  • Can I practice while I'm pregnant?
It is recommended that you do not begin a Bikram Yoga practice while you are pregnant, but that you have already had at least 6 months of consistent practice under your belt. If you already have a regular practice, it is safe to continue as long as your doctor has cleared you to practice. All compression postures will be modified and your studio director and instructors can guide you through the modifications.
  • How often should I practice?
We recommend taking 3-5 classes a week in your first month so you can truly see the benefits of a regular practice. If you're a little sore after your first class, come back in within 24-48 hours to stretch it out!
